Atlanta Horn Clinic Summer Symposium

Kennesaw State University School of Music

June 15-18, 2017



The Atlanta Horn Clinic Summer Symposium is an intensive four-day event open to middle school through graduate level horn students. During the course of the symposium, students will have the opportunity to participate in horn choirs, horn quartets, orchestral excerpt classes, masterclasses, and warm-up classes. The event will also include a solo competition, excerpt competition, faculty recital, and faculty quartet concert, and will conclude with a performance by participant horn choirs and quartets.

Competition

Division I & II First Place Winners will receive a full scholarship to next year’s AHC Summer Symposium.


The competition will be held in two rounds, the second

of which will be accompanied and open to the public.


Competition repertoire: One standard piece or movement for horn and piano between 5 and 12 minutes. Piano accompaniments must be emailed to atlantahornclinic@gmail.com by June 1st in order to compete. 




Fees

Competition fee: $40

Tuition: $375

Tuition includes all classes, coachings, concerts, ensembles, supplies, and a t-shirt.


Registration
